How do I add file upload to a Shopify product?
File upload lets customers send their logo, artwork, embroidery stitch file, or reference photo along with the order. Install Print It My Way (Pro tier, $13.99/mo: file upload is not on Free/Basic), add a File upload field, configure accepted formats (PDF/AI/EPS for print; PNG/JPG for photos; DST/EXP for embroidery), and set a max file size. Uploaded files are stored on secure cloud storage and linked to the order.
Step-by-step setup
- Install Print It My Way (Pro or Unlimited). File upload requires Pro tier ($13.99/mo) and above.
- Add file upload field. Print It My Way > Add field > File upload.
- Set accepted formats. PDF, AI, EPS for print; PNG, JPG for photos.
- Set max file size. 10MB default; up to 100MB on higher tiers.
- Test on storefront. Upload a sample file, verify it reaches the order.
