Setup with Print It My Way (5 minutes)

1. Install Print It My Way (Basic tier $7.99/mo — date picker supported)
2. Dashboard → New Personalizer → drag in Date Picker field
3. Configure:
   • Label: "Delivery date" or "Wedding date"
   • Min date: today + N production days (e.g. today + 5 for 5-day production SLA)
   • Max date: 90 days out (or 12 months for weddings)
   • Disabled dates: Sundays, US holidays (or custom list)
   • Required: Yes (mandatory for date-sensitive products)

Min/max date validation

Prevent impossible or unwanted dates:

• Min date: today + production SLA. If you promise 5-day production, min = today + 5 business days.
• Max date: Depends on product. Perishable: 7-14 days. Wedding: 12 months. Standard: 90 days.
• Blackout dates: Days you can't fulfill (holidays, vacation, high-volume periods).
• Weekends: Disable Saturdays + Sundays if you don't fulfill on weekends.

Rush fee based on date proximity

Cart Transform reads customer's date field + adds rush fee if too soon:

Cart Transform reads date property + computes days-until-date + applies tiered fee. Automated no merchant intervention.

Cart display for date field

Show date in customer-friendly format:

• "Delivery date: Friday, September 12, 2026" (not "2026-09-12")
• Include day-of-week (customer knows if it's a business day or weekend)
• Show rush fee alongside if applicable ("+$15 rush fee applied")

Fulfillment scheduling

Sort orders by delivery date in your fulfillment queue:

• Shopify order tag with delivery date auto-added
• Filter admin by tag or date range
• ShipStation / Ordersify integration for date-based routing
• Shopify Flow: alert if delivery date approaching + order not yet fulfilled

Wedding-specific date handling

Wedding invitations have unique date pattern — invitation ships 3-4 months before wedding, but wedding date is the reference:

• Customer enters Wedding Date (e.g. June 15, 2027)
• System computes optimal ship date (Wedding Date - 3 months = March 15, 2027)
• Delivery date = ship date + shipping time
• Rush fee if Wedding Date is too soon (<8 weeks out for standard production)

Setup requires two date fields or custom logic in personalizer.

Multi-store date coordination

Corporate stores with multiple locations may have different fulfillment SLAs per location. Cart Transform can read customer's shipping address + adjust min date accordingly. Advanced setup.
