- Show 3-day option only Monday-Wednesday (can't rush over weekend)
Holiday deadlines
Nov-Dec: post explicit deadlines ("Order by Dec 15 with 3-day rush for guaranteed Christmas delivery"). Use a countdown timer near the rush delivery field for urgency.
Rush delivery margins
Your incremental cost:
- 3-day rush — typically $5-$8 to upgrade shipping. Charge $10-$15. ~50% margin.
- 24-hour rush — typically $12-$20 for overnight shipping. Charge $25-$40. ~50% margin.
