Setup with Print It My Way
- Install Print It My Way Pro or Unlimited (repeater is Pro tier)
- Dashboard → New Personalizer → drag in Group / Repeater field
- Configure sub-fields (Name text, Number, Size dropdown)
- Enable "Add another" button
- Set min instances (1) + max instances (25-500 depending on use case)
- Optional Cart Transform +$X per instance beyond first
- Attach to product
Two implementation patterns
Pattern 1: One line item per instance
Each repeater instance creates a separate cart line. 25 team jerseys = 25 cart lines. Each individually personalized. Best for products fulfilled individually per unit.
Pattern 2: Single line item with array of instances
One cart line with attribute containing all instances (JSON array). Best for products fulfilled as a set (place cards printed as one batch).
Print It My Way supports both patterns; configure per product.
CSV alternative for large lists
Repeater UI works well up to ~30 instances. For 50-500 (weddings, corporate events), CSV upload is faster:
- Personalizer app "CSV Upload" field
- Downloadable template (Name, Number, Size columns)
- Customer fills in Excel/Sheets
- Uploads to cart
- App parses + creates N line items automatically
Print It My Way Unlimited supports CSV upload up to 500 rows.
Per-instance pricing (Cart Transform)
Repeater can drive pricing. First instance included, additional instances add fee:
- Multi-pet portrait: first pet included, +$5 per additional pet
- Team roster: each additional jersey after 12 = tier discount kicks in
- Wedding place cards: base 50 included, +$0.75 per card above
Cart Transform counts instances + applies pricing rule.
Reorder + edit UX
- Reorder instances (drag-drop to change order)
- Edit filled instance (click to modify)
- Delete instance (X button per row)
- Copy previous instance ("Add another same as above")

Validation
- Enforce min instances (weddings need at least 1)
- Enforce max instances (prevent 10,000 place card orders that break fulfillment)
