How do I add a monogram field to a Shopify product?
Install Print It My Way on the Basic tier ($7.99/mo; the monogram builder is on Basic and above). Add a Monogram field and choose a layout style: Traditional (center initial larger), Block (all the same size), Cypher (interlocked) or Single-initial. Then set the initial count, 2 for couples or 3 for family. The customer types initials and the live preview shows the monogram on the product.
Step-by-step setup
- Install Print It My Way. The monogram builder is on the Basic tier ($7.99/mo).
- Add monogram field. Print It My Way > Add field > Monogram.
- Choose layout style. Traditional / block / cypher / single-initial.
- Set initial count (2 or 3). Two initials for couples, three for a family monogram.
- Test on storefront. Enter initials and check the layout in the preview.
Monogram layout styles
- Traditional: First-LAST-Middle, with the center (last name) initial larger. The classic bride's monogram.
- Block: All initials the same size, in order (First-Middle-Last). Modern.
- Cypher: Initials interlocked into one design. Elegant on jewelry.
- Single-initial: Just one letter, large and centered. For minimalist products.
- Duogram (2 initials): A couples monogram, with bride and groom initials interlocked or side-by-side.
