How do I bundle personalized products on Shopify?
Create a bundle product with repeatable field groups: one per item in the bundle. Customer personalizes each item separately in the same flow. Cart Transform adds a bundle discount as a separate cart line (e.g., -10% at checkout). Print It My Way supports repeatable field groups on Pro tier and above. Common bundles: his & hers monogrammed items, family sets, party favors, corporate holiday bundles.
Step-by-step setup
- Identify bundling opportunities. His/hers, family sets, party favors, corporate holiday.
- Create bundle product with repeatable fields. Each bundle item gets its own personalization.
- Set bundle discount. 5-15% off vs buying individually.
- Test on storefront. Verify each item's personalization is captured.
Common personalized-product bundles
- His & hers: matching monogrammed mugs, robes, keychains
- Family sets: parent + kids' personalized items
- Wedding party: bride + bridesmaids + groomsmen sets
- Corporate holiday: logo + individual employee names
- Birthday party favors: child's name + 20 guest names on treat bags
- Twin / multiples baby: matching baby blankets with two names
Setup steps
Step 1: Create a bundle product (e.g., 'His & Hers Monogrammed Mug Set').
Step 2: Set base price at bundle price (2 mugs at 10% discount = $36 instead of $40).
Step 3: In Print It My Way, add repeatable field group with 2 instances: 'Person 1: name' + 'Person 2: name.'
Step 4: Each instance captures separate line-item properties.
Step 5: Order shows both names; production makes 2 items.
Bundle discount options
- Flat percentage. 10% off the bundle vs buying individually
- Absolute discount. Save $10 on the set
- Free item bundling. Buy 3, get 1 free (personalization on all 4)
How POD partners handle bundles
Printful, Printify, and Gelato treat bundle items as separate line items with their own personalization data. Each item goes into production independently, arrives together in the customer's shipment.

Can I bundle products with different personalization each?
Yes. Repeatable field groups let each item in the bundle have its own personalization.
How much bundle discount is typical?
5-15% off vs buying individually. Enough to reward the bundle purchase without eroding margin.
Do POD partners fulfill bundles as one shipment?
Yes typically: items ship together. Larger bundles may split shipments based on POD partner constraints.
Can bundle discount stack with quantity tiers?
Configurable in Cart Transform. Usually one or the other applies to prevent excessive discounting.
Should each bundle item have separate SKUs?
Optionally. For POD workflow, one bundle SKU with repeatable personalization fields is cleaner.
