Min/max caps prevent extreme pricing
Without caps, percentage produces awkward numbers on very cheap or very expensive products:
- Rush fee 20% on $5 sticker = $1 (feels trivial) → Set min $10
- Rush fee 20% on $5,000 custom bike = $1,000 (feels extreme) → Set max $500

Percentage of what? Line vs cart total
Two scopes:
- Percentage of line price (recommended for most add-ons): Rush 20% applies to the specific product line. Different products can have different rush fees.
- Percentage of cart total: White-glove delivery 5% applies to entire cart. Whole order includes shipping upgrade.
Configure per field. Print It My Way defaults to line-scope; toggle to cart-scope for delivery/insurance add-ons.
Display strategy
Show both percentage AND dollar amount:

Percentage builds understanding + trust; dollar amount is what customer pays. Live update as customer configures options that change base price.

Full pricing flow example: 50 branded mugs at Silver metal upgrade with rush production:
- Base variant price: 11oz mug $8
- Silver metal upgrade variant: 11oz Silver Mug $12 (variant pricing)
- Quantity 50 = Tier 2 discount -10%: $10.80 each
- Rush production percentage +20%: $12.96 each
- 50 units × $12.96 = $648 total

Tax handling
Percentage fees inherit product tax rate. Shopify Tax auto-computes. No separate tax config needed.
For US: fee taxed at product's jurisdiction rate. For EU VAT: fee treated as part of same supply, same VAT rate as product. For Canada GST/HST: applies to fee at product rate.
