When to use image swatches
- Textured fabrics (chambray, linen, velvet) where texture matters
- Patterns (florals, plaids, camo) that flat color can't represent
- Metallic finishes (brushed gold, polished silver)
- Wood grains (oak, walnut, cherry) where grain matters
- Stone / marble finishes with natural variation
Setup
- Prepare swatch images — 200×200 px minimum, 400×400 for retina. PNG or JPG. Under 100 KB each.
- Personalizer template → Add field → Image swatch.
- Upload each swatch image with label + optional upcharge.
- Set default + required. Save.
Bulk-uploading swatches
For 20+ swatches per product, use CSV import. Prepare a CSV with columns: swatch_name, image_url, upcharge. PIMW Product Personalizer imports up to 500 swatches per product in one shot.
