Add a text field for engraving or custom names

Setup

1. Open your personalizer template → Add field → Text.
2. Label the field ("Engraving text", "Name", "Custom message").
3. Set Character limit — 15-25 for jewelry, 25-40 for tumblers, 40-100 for signs.
4. Enable Character counter so the customer sees remaining chars as they type.
5. Toggle Required if the field must be filled before add-to-cart.

Font restrictions per field

Different products need different font sets. Wedding invitations need scripts; corporate gifts need clean sans-serifs. In field settings, restrict the font picker to a subset of your 35+ available fonts.
