• Rating, number of reviews and launch date, as shown on the listing.
• Every plan and price, including transaction or per-order fees.
• Features, marked as listed only if the listing says so. "Not listed" means the listing doesn't mention it, not that the app can't do it.

We didn't run private tests on competitor apps, so this is a comparison of what each developer publicly promises. Always try the free trial on your own products before you commit.

Watch the "free plan" label. Zakeke, Customily and Teeinblue show "Free plan available" on their listings, but their free plans only work on development stores, not on a store that's selling.

Best for: stores selling engraved jewelry, name and monogram gifts, photo products and logo merch that want a live preview and add-on pricing without per-order fees.

PIMW Product Personalizer launched on the Shopify App Store on May 4, 2026, built by Pixelspiece solutions. It combines a visual personalizer and a product options builder in one app. Here is everything it does, from its App Store listing and our documentation:

Personalizer (the live preview canvas)

• Canvas editor: upload a photo of your product, choose an aspect ratio (free, 1:1, 4:5 or 16:9) and place text areas and image zones exactly where they print.
• Custom text: 35+ Google Fonts (including Roboto, Playfair Display, Montserrat, Dancing Script, Lobster, Bebas Neue and Pacifico), bold, italic and underline, alignment, 7 preset colors or any custom color, placeholder text, minimum and maximum character limits, and required fields.
• Image and logo upload: customers upload into logo zones you place on the canvas. Accepted files are PNG, JPEG, WebP, SVG and GIF, up to 5 MB each.
• Default image library: images you add for customers to choose from instead of uploading (5 on Basic, 20 on Pro and Unlimited).
• Multi-step flows: separate steps for different views, like front and back, each with its own background image, text areas and image zones.
• Live preview: customers see their text, fonts, colors and images on the product as they type.

Product options builder

• 10 field types: radio buttons, checkbox, checkbox group, single and multi dropdowns, color swatches, image swatches, text area, switch and switch group.
• Per-choice pricing: a different price for each choice, such as "Gold foil +$5".
• Conditional logic (Pro and Unlimited): show a field only when another choice is made, like an "Upload your logo" field that appears when the customer switches on "Add a logo".

Pricing for personalization

Plans (October 2026)

Every plan includes unlimited custom orders with no per-order fees, and paid plans have a 3-day free trial.

Where it's not the best fit (honestly):

• It's new. It launched in May 2026 and has 9 reviews, so it doesn't have the long track record of Zepto, Globo or Easify.
• No 3D or AR. For 3D configurators, Zakeke is the specialist.
• No automatic print-file generation for POD partners is listed. You download customers' files from the order, but Customily, Teeinblue and Customall advertise auto-generated print-ready files sent into POD workflows.
• Customer image upload and conditional logic need Pro. The Free and Basic plans cover text, options, preview and pricing.

What merchants say about PIMW Product Personalizer

On its Shopify App Store listing in October 2026, PIMW Product Personalizer is rated 5.0 from 9 reviews, all five stars. A few short excerpts, quoted from the listing:

• Krishnam Jewel (India, August 19, 2026): "One of the best apps I've added to my jewelry store." The store uses it for engraving with a live preview.
• Tala Gold Collection (United Arab Emirates, August 19, 2026), titled "Excellent Support": the team helped tailor the options to the store's requirements.
• Vanasparsh (India, July 2026): "One of the best product options apps on Shopify!"
• Blackship.in (India, July 2, 2026): "Excellent app for custom product options at a budget-friendly price."
• Cutiglow.in (India, May 9, 2026): found it more flexible than standard Shopify product options, with conditional logic that didn't feel complicated.

The common thread is easy setup and fast, hands-on support. With only nine reviews so far, read them as early feedback rather than a long-term verdict.

2. Zepto Product Personalizer: the most-reviewed dedicated personalizer

Best for: stores that want a long-established personalizer with a big review history.

Zepto has been on the App Store since August 2016 and is rated 4.9 from 1,434 reviews, with the Built for Shopify badge. Every plan includes a live visual preview, price add-ons and conditional logic, with text and monogram inputs, custom fonts, color swatches and upload fields. It lists integrations with Gelato, Printful and ShineOn.

The catch is order caps: plans run from $9.99 a month for 100 custom orders to $69.99 for unlimited, with upload file sizes from 10 MB to 100 MB depending on plan. There's no free plan on a live store, and the listing doesn't state transaction fees either way.

3. Globo Product Options: best options app with a preview add-on

Best for: stores that mostly need product options and want a preview on some products.

Globo is rated 4.9 from 5,173 reviews, carries the Built for Shopify badge, and has a free plan with unlimited option sets, products and orders, 15 option types and conditional logic. Charging extra (price add-ons, which it says run on Shopify Functions) starts on Premium at $9.90 a month, and the live preview personalizer is on Advanced at $19.90. Shopify Plus stores pay more ($39.90 and $59.90). It's an options app first: clipart, multi-view steps and print files aren't listed.

4. Easify Custom Product Options: options at the same price on every Shopify plan

Best for: stores that want a free-forever options app and a preview later.

Easify is rated 4.9 from 3,168 reviews and has the Built for Shopify badge. Its free plan includes 15 option types, unlimited option sets, products and orders, and conditional logic. Pro ($9.99 a month) adds 28 option types and price formulas, and Premium ($19.99) adds the live preview personalizer, text effects and background removal. It says prices are the same on all Shopify plans, including Plus, and its admin is in 25 languages.

5. Customily: best for print-on-demand photo products

Best for: POD stores selling photo, map and calendar products at volume.

Customily is rated 4.9 from 277 reviews. It goes beyond text and photos to street and star maps, calendars, AI filters, clipart, background removal, FaceCut and Canva import, and exports ready-to-print, engrave or laser-cut files. It names 12 POD partners, including Printify, Printful, Gelato and CustomCat.

It costs $49 a month plus $0.10 to $1 per order item that uses Customily, with a 9-day trial and no free plan on a live store. At high order volumes those fees add up quickly.

6. Teeinblue: best for POD stores that want the first 100 orders fee-free

Best for: print-on-demand stores that need automatic print files.

Teeinblue is rated 4.9 from 381 reviews. It offers a live preview with custom text, photo, clipart, map and moon-phase personalization, auto-generates print-ready files, and names 11 POD partners, including Printify, Printful, Gelato and Dreamship. Pricing is $49 a month plus $0.10 to $0.40 per order item, with no fee on the first 100 orders each month. The listing shows English only.

7. Zakeke: best for 3D and AR

Best for: complex products like furniture, shoes or packaging where shoppers benefit from 3D.

Zakeke is rated 4.5 from 101 reviews. It offers real-time customization in 3D, a 3D configurator, an AR viewer and virtual try-on, and automatic print-ready files for print, engraving and laser cutting. Plans start at $69.90 a month for up to 10 products, plus a 1.9% transaction fee on sales through Zakeke (1.7% and 1.5% on higher plans). It's the most powerful option here for 3D, and the most expensive.

8. Kickflip: best visual configurator with multiple views

Best for: configurable products where shoppers switch views and see the price update.

Kickflip is rated 4.4 from 136 reviews. It offers real-time previews from multiple perspectives, live coloring, text, fonts, image and logo upload, and a different price per option with a live total. It costs $59 a month plus 1.95% to 0% per custom product sale, with add-ons for white-label (+$49) and price quotes (+$99).

9. Inkybay: best for multi-side print shops

Best for: print shops that need several print sides and print-ready files in multiple formats.

Inkybay is rated 4.4 from 169 reviews. It's a visual configurator with live preview, dynamic pricing based on design, color, size and options, and print-ready files in PDF, SVG, JPG and PNG. Plans run from $19.99 a month (10 custom products, 30 custom orders a month, 2 print sides) to $249.99 for unlimited. Starter states 0% commission; the other plans don't mention fees.

10. Customall and Qstomizer: worth a look

Customall launched in June 2024 and is rated 4.8 from 24 reviews. It has a genuine free tier (10 orders), then $19 a month with the first 100 orders free and $0.60 per order after that. It lists live preview, photo upload, clipart, conditional logic, add-on pricing and print-ready exports for five POD partners.

Qstomizer is the veteran, on the App Store since August 2014 and rated 4.7 from 116 reviews. It has 0% transaction fees on every plan, multi-side print areas, 15,000+ stock images, 200+ templates and price rules, from $9.99 a month for 25 products.

What it really costs: 500 personalized orders a month

Per-order fees change the picture as you grow. Here's the monthly cost at 500 personalized orders, using only the plan prices and fees shown on each listing:

Kickflip and Zakeke charge a percentage of each sale, so their cost depends on your prices. For example, at a $30 average order, Zakeke's 1.9% Starter fee adds about $285 to the $69.90 plan at 500 orders, and Kickflip's fee adds up to about $293 to its $59 plan.

How to choose the right personalizer app

1. List what customers personalize: text only, photos and logos, multiple sides, or 3D.
2. Decide how products get made: in-house (you need clean order details and file downloads) or POD (automatic print files and partner integrations matter).
3. Estimate your monthly orders and work out the real cost, including per-order fees.
4. Check the free plan works on a live store, not just development stores.
5. Install two apps on trial and set up the same product in both.
6. Test on a phone: most shoppers personalize on mobile.
7. Place a test order and check the details and files arrive the way your production needs them.
